The whole catalogue, and its history
30 products and 94 size and colour variations came across with their photography, along with 98 past orders and 78 customer accounts, so returning customers keep their order history.
A bespoke WordPress and WooCommerce rebuild for an independent bike shop in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire: the full bike catalogue online, plus the workshop, bike fitting, events and Cycle to Work, all in the shop's black-and-red editorial style.
County Cycles is run by cyclists, for cyclists. It sells road, mountain, electric and kids bikes from brands including Wilier, Ridley, Merida and Marin, runs a Cytech-qualified workshop and offers professional bike fitting. The brief was a complete rebuild that could sell all of it online, keep the approved design intact, meet WCAG 2.2 AA and stay light enough to load quickly.
We built a custom theme with no page builder and no front-end framework. Every page is made from 30 bespoke blocks, and each one offers only design-approved choices, so the shop can edit any page without breaking it. The brand red failed contrast on small text, so a deeper ink red now carries buttons and labels, and the bright red is kept for display type.

Category, brand, price and stock filters update the results in place, show live counts beside each option and announce the result to screen readers. Without JavaScript they still work as ordinary links.
Workshop service pricing, bike fitting, events and Cycle to Work each have a page of their own. Services and fittings are booked through their own forms, and events link straight to booking.
Adding a bike follows a guided five-section screen with a readiness checklist, reusable size charts and hand-picked related products.
Each product page leads with the brand and type, the price and the sizes in stock, with Add to cart beside Reserve in store for customers who would rather see the bike first.
Specifications sit in tabs below, and finance and Cycle to Work sit beside the buy buttons rather than in the footer.
The header folds into a drawer menu, the shop filters collapse into accordions and the product pages stack cleanly on a small screen.
The hero video only loads on larger screens with motion allowed and no data-saver signal. Phones get a still image, so a customer checking stock at the side of the road isn't downloading a film.
The shop filters by category, brand, price and stock. Every card shows the brand, the type of bike and the price, and every product carries the shop's promise: safety-checked, test-ridden and fitted before you ride away.
